So much beauty surrounds us; even in the ordinary happenings of our everyday lives. But in brief moments the glint of light sparkling on water becomes diamonds. And magnified colors made vibrant and alive by the setting sun glow and turn everything to gold. It is this kind of beauty that stirs the soul.

I was born and raised in Maine. My love of art started early in life, thanks to the many wonderful artists in my family. I received a BA from New College in Sarasota, FL with a focus on art and the environment; and I’ve attended several programs at Haystack Mountain and Maine College of Art.

I work mainly in acrylic on board. I love the fast dry time of the medium and the ability to add multiple layers in a single painting session. I also love to work on paintings in the studio and en plein air with oils, gouache and ink.

Growing up in a family of artists and fisherman shaped who I am today. Maine boasts beautiful coastlines, deep, wild forests and ever-changing weather. I feel especially lucky to live here surrounded by so much natural beauty that serves as my inspiration. And I strive to capture all that Maine has to offer in my paintings.
